Donny Emmons
Chief Estimator
Donny Emmons began his career at Emmons & Mitchell in 2014 after graduating from St. Lawrence College with a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology. Starting as a laborer and carpenter, he quickly advanced to project management within five years, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise.
As Chief Estimator since 2018, Donny plays a key role in bringing projects to life before construction even begins. His strategic approach to estimating and project planning has contributed to E&M’s continued growth, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and competitive success in the industry.
Mark Emmons
President
Mark joined Emmons & Mitchell in 1984, spending 8 years in the field working on a variety of projects throughout the Kingston area before transitioning into leadership roles. In 2016, he was appointed President, bringing decades of experience and a deep understanding of the construction industry to the company.
With over 40 years in the construction industry, Mark combines technical expertise with a people-first approach. A passionate advocate for workplace safety and industry excellence, Mark has served in numerous leadership roles including Chair of the Kingston Labour Management Health & Safety Committee and President of the Construction Association. His vision continues to guide E&M’s commitment to quality, innovation, and building long lasting relationships with clients and communities.
Luke Emmons
Project Manager
Luke joined Emmons & Mitchell Construction in 2010, starting as a carpenter before advancing to site superintendent and eventually project manager. His hands-on experience and leadership skills have been instrumental in successfully overseeing a diverse range of projects.
Luke has successfully managed renovations and new construction projects for clients including Queen’s University, Defence Construction Canada, the Limestone District School Board, the Canadian Hearing Society, and numerous municipal organizations throughout Kingston and surrounding areas. He is known for his collaborative approach and attention to detail. Luke is committed to delivering high-quality projects on time, on budget, and built to last.
Bob Vinkle
Project Manager
Bob Vinkle has been a cornerstone of E&M since joining the company in 1973 straight out of high school. Over more than five decades he has built an exceptional career. He started as carpenter, advancing to an estimator, becoming a principal in the company, and now serving as our most Senior Project Manager.
His extensive portfolio includes a wide range of high-profile builds and renovations, such as the Plumbers Union Hall in Kingston, multiple renovation projects at Queen’s University, the RCMP R15 and R16 heritage restoration and renovation, MH36 interior renovations and envelope upgrades, and the Dan Keyes Collision Center. With an unparalleled depth of experience and commitment to excellence, Bob remains an invaluable part of the E&M team.
Matt Waitson
Project Manager
Matt joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2016, bringing specialized expertise in heritage carpentry, millwork, and a Red Seal Carpentry Certificate. He combines traditional craftsmanship with modern construction practices to deliver exceptional results.
As a Project Manager, Matt has successfully led a wide range of restoration and construction throughout Kingston and the surrounding areas. His work preserving history masonry and heritage for the city of Kingston reflects his passion for protecting the community’s architectural history while creating spaces built for the future. Matt takes pride in delivering projects that stand the test of time.
Greg Hanna
Project Manager
Greg Hanna has recently joined Emmons & Mitchell Construction bringing more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership roles, including company operator, construction supervisor, and construction manager, giving him extensive knowledge of project planning, coordination, and execution.
As a Project Manager, Greg oversees a diverse range of projects from planning through completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. His decades of hands-on experience and practical approach allow him to effectively manage complex projects while building strong relationships with everyone involved. His commitment to quality workmanship, teamwork, and delivering successful outcomes on time and on budget makes him a valued member of the Emmons & Mitchell Construction team.
Kyle McMahon
Project Coordinator
Kyle McMahon joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2017 and has become an integral part on the project management team. With a background in Civil Engineering Technology and experience in project planning and quality control, he helps ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Throughout his career Kyle has contributed to numerous projects at Queen’s University, the Algonquin Lakeshore District School Board, the Limestone District School Board and other major developments throughout Kingston and the surrounding areas. His dedication, leadership, and hands-on approach make him a trusted member of E&M.
Jen Bardy
Project Coordinator
Jen Bardy joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2023 and has become an essential part of the project coordination team. She plays a key role in keeping projects organized by managing documentation, coordinating communication and supporting project teams from start to finish.
She works closely with project managers, clients, and trade partners to ensure information flows efficiently and projects stay on track. Her attention to detail, organization, and proactive problem-solving help maintain clarity and accountability within each project. Jen helps maintain the high level of coordination, accuracy, and client service that Emmons & Mitchell is known for.
Faraz Ughratdar

Faraz Ughratdar joined Emmons & Mitchell in (YEAR) after graduating from the Civil Engineering Technology program and has quickly become a valuable member of the project coordination team.
As Junior Project Coordinator, he supports project managers with scheduling, document control, RFIs, submittals, cost tracking, and communication between project stakeholders. His eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail help keep projects running smoothly from the office to the job site. Passionate about building a career in construction, Faraz continues to expand his knowledge through hands-on experience while contributing to the collaborative, client-focused culture that defines Emmons & Mitchell Construction.
Debbie Mack
Payroll & Head Reception
Debbie has been a valued member of the Emmons & Mitchell Construction team since 2006, serving as the welcoming face of the office and a key member of the administrative and payroll team. Her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional service help keep the company’s daily operations running smoothly.
In her role, Debbie oversees payroll, accounts payable, reception, subcontract administration, fleet coordination, and project closeout documentation. She also works closely with the estimating team to prepare proposals and quotations for tender submissions, providing essential support throughout the bidding process.
Known for her reliability, efficiency, and positive attitude, Debbie plays an integral role in supporting both the office and project teams while helping maintain the high standard of service Emmons & Mitchell is known for.
Kim Keller

Kim Keller joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2017, bringing extensive experience in payroll, accounting, and financial administration. A graduate of St. Lawrence College’s Business Administration and Finance program, she has built a strong career managing financial operations with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
As a member of the accounting team, Kim oversees payroll processing, financial reporting, and accounting procedures that help support the company’s day-to-day operations. Her ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain compliance ensures financial processes run efficiently and accurately.
Known for her strong work ethic, organization, and commitment to excellence, Kim is a trusted member of the Emmons & Mitchell team, helping uphold the financial integrity and continued success of the company.
Emma Weatherdon
Administrative Assistant
Emma Wetherdon has recently joined Emmons & Mitchell after graduating from the Business – Human Resource program, bringing a strong foundation in organization, customer service and business administration. Her responsibilities include assisting with administrative processes, supporting accounting functions, maintaining organized documentation, and providing timely support across multiple departments.
As she begins her career in the construction industry, Emma is excited to continue expanding her knowledge while contributing to the collaborative and client-focused environment at E&M.

SITE SUPERVISOR
Brent Mitchell joined Emmons & Mitchell in 1997 and quickly became a valued member. As a Site Supervisor, he oversees projects from start to finish, ensuring the job is done safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Brent works closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and running smoothly. With a strong commitment to quality craftmanship and teamwork, Brent continues to play an important role in delivering the reliable service and exceptional results Emmons & Mitchell is known for.
Sheldon Vankoughnett
Site supervisor
Sheldon Vankoughnett joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2003 and brings extensive experience as a licensed carpenter and Site Supervisor. His background in construction combined with his strong leadership and organizational skills, allows him to successfully manage projects from the ground up.
Sheldon has successfully led a variety of major projects including the City of Kingston Culligan Water Park, significant renovations at Loyalist College, DCC Secret Secure Facility, and restoration at Queen’ University’s John Deutsch Centre and Ellis Hall Lab. Sheldon takes pride in creating safe, productive job sites and contributing to projects that strengthen the communities E&M serves.
Andy Guthro
SITE SUPERVISOR
Andy Guthro joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2001 and has built a reputation as a dependable and experienced Site Supervisor with more than two decades of hands-on construction experience.
Andy has managed a diverse range of institutional, commercial, and custom construction projects throughout Eastern Ontario. His portfolio includes the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) facility in Belleville, major renovations at Loyalist College, high-end custom homes, a daycare facility in Picton, the Bayridge Bible Chapel, and the new construction of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School in Amherstview. Andy continues to be a trusted member of the E&M team and a valued resource for both clients and colleagues.
David Andersen
Site SuperVISOR
David Anderson joined Emmons & Mitchell in 2013 and has become a trusted Site Supervisor known for his leadership, organization, and commitment to quality. With a proactive, solutions-focused approach he works closely with project teams, clients, and trade partners to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Throughout his career with Emmons & Mitchell, David has managed a diverse range of institutional, commercial, and renovation projects. His ability to coordinate large teams, solve challenges on-site with a hands-on approach, and maintain strong communication helps keep projects on schedule and within budget. Matt Dowling

Site Supervisor- Since joining Emmons & Mitchell Construction in 2016, Matt has built a reputation for his adaptability, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality construction projects. Whether leading a major build or managing a detailed renovation, he approaches every project with professionalism and a focus on achieving the best possible outcome.
Matt has successfully completed a variety of projects, including renovations at Dupont and the construction of the Plumbers Union Hall and Training Facility in Kingston. Currently, working on the Queen’s University’s Castle Lab construction.
Known for his dependable leadership and collaborative approach, Matt is committed to delivering projects that exceed client expectations while contributing to the continued success of the company.
Adrian Droogh

Adrian joined Emmons & Mitchell Construction in 2020, bringing decades of experience as a skilled carpenter with extensive expertise in heritage restoration, healthcare, and institutional construction. His craftsmanship and attention to detail have made him a trusted leader on projects that require both technical precision and respect for historic architecture.
As a Site Supervisor, Adrian oversees complex restoration and renovation projects, working closely with project teams to ensure every detail is completed with care, quality, and efficiency. Adrian’s portfolio includes the renovation of the Kingston MRI for Kingston Health Science Centre (KHSC) located on Kingston’s East end, the Hotel Dieu Hospital Sydenham Wing Interior Restoration, KFPL Bishop House Exterior Restoration, and the Queen’s University Ban Righ Hall & McLaughlin Hall Window Replacement. Adrian plays an important role in delivering projects that strengthen communities and uphold Emmons & Mitchell’s reputation for excellence.

David Gardiner joined Emmons & Mitchell in
Serving as both a Carpenter and a Site Supervisor, Dave plays a crucial role in ensuring quality craftsmanship and efficient project execution.
David’s portfolio includes overseeing academic renovations at Loyalist College and various facility improvements for the Limestone District School Board and the Algonquin Lakeshore District School Board, the new Hospice Kingston Facility, and Queen’s University Qubs. Mike Szczesniak

Mike joined Emmons & Mitchell Construction in 2004, bringing more than two decades of experience in the construction industry as a licensed carpenter and Site Supervisor. His expertise in project coordination, scheduling, and site management allows him to successfully lead projects from pre-construction through completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Throughout his career, Michael has overseen a diverse range of healthcare, educational, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Known for his calm leadership, strong technical knowledge, and collaborative approach, he works closely with clients, consultants, trade partners, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Respected for his professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality craftsmanship, Michael continues to play an important role in delivering successful projects and upholding the trusted reputation of Emmons & Mitchell Construction.
Paul Fischkohl
Paul has been a valued member of Emmons & Mitchell Construction since 2007, bringing extensive experience in construction operations and workplace safety. As a certified member and Co-Chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), he plays a key role in promoting a strong safety culture across the company and ensuring every job site operates safely and efficiently.
In addition to his leadership in health and safety, Paul supports a wide range of construction projects, drawing on his versatility and hands-on experience to assist wherever needed. His adaptability, teamwork, and commitment to continuous improvement make him a trusted resource for both the office and field teams.

Andrew Morrin
Site Supervisor
Andrew Morrin brings an international perspective and more than 15 years of construction experience to Emmons & Mitchell Construction. Originally from New Zealand, he began his career in commercial construction before transitioning into residential home building, where he developed a passion for quality craftsmanship and helped construct award-winning homes.
After moving to Canada in 2015, Andrew continued building his career in commercial construction and has spent the past decade overseeing a wide variety of projects throughout the Kingston region. As a Site Supervisor, he is known for his hands-on leadership, practical problem-solving, and commitment to delivering quality results.
Andrew takes pride in building strong relationships on-site while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards clients expect from Emmons & Mitchell Construction.
Marco Machado

Marco joined Emmons & Mitchell Construction in 2017 as a licensed carpenter and has since advanced into the role of Site Supervisor. His strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience allow him to confidently lead projects while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Throughout his time with Emmons & Mitchell, Marco has managed projects for school boards, Defence Construction Canada, and a variety of private-sector clients.
