Emmons and Mitchell Construction Limited (E & M) was incorporated in 1957 by Edward (Ed) Mitchell and Donald (Don) Emmons and has been successfully engaged in General Contracting, Project Management and Design Build Projects since its inception. Both Ed and Don had a steadfast belief that their business success depended on providing quality workmanship, delivered on time, and on budget. Also, they established their company’s reputation on ‘honesty and integrity’ in everything they did. Importantly, they passed this vision onto E & M’s current leadership.
Our Current Generation
With the ownership transition between the first and second generation, the legal name of the Company has now officially become Emmons & Mitchell Construction 2000 Limited. However, we still refer to ourselves as E & M, and we retain the experience and ethical approach established in 1957.
The E & M vision continues to be:
- Deliver outstanding results, on time and on budget.
- Approach each assignment with honesty and integrity.
Together, the two current owners/leaders of E & M will provide you with over 65 years of combined Construction and General Management experience. For a full description of the current E & M Team, please see OUR TEAM.
Our Future Generation
E & M are expecting future growth of our business through our third generation of leaders.
Brent Mitchell joined E&M directly from High School in 1997 working in the field on a number of projects. He moved into the office in 2008 and has been working in the estimating department using his experience of working in the field for 11 years. This experience has given him a solid understanding of the importance of estimating a job with accuracy.
Donny Emmons worked in the field on his summer breaks from high school and college gaining field experience. He recently graduated from St. Lawrence College from the Civil Engineering program and is now working in the office in estimating and project management.
Luke Emmons has been working with E&M during his summers since he has been 15 years old and continues to do so, gaining experience in the field and looking after small projects. This experience will assist him in his future position as a site superintendent or a project manager.
